La Violetta started crafting small-batch wines in Denmark, Western Australia, in 2008, using grapes from select, exceptional vineyards. Their debut 2008 La Ciornia was featured in Matthew Jukes' Top 100 and Sarah Ahmed's Top Five Australian Wines. The wines aren't shown due to limited quantities. Winemaker Andrew Hoadley, with experience from Australia and abroad, now produces the wines in a small countryside facility near Denmark. 'La Violetta' is named after a Piedmontese song celebrating intoxication.
