Samantha Connew's initial wine purchase, a dozen bottles of Tamar Ridge Riesling from Tasmania, marked the beginning of her wine journey. Oregon’s Pinot Noir captivated her during her first vintage, setting the stage for her eventual return to Tasmania, where she is now producing Pinot Noir, Riesling, and Chardonnay.
Following diverse winemaking experiences across Australia, Italy, Spain, and Oregon, she held positions at Wirra Wirra Vineyards and Tower Estate before transitioning to self-employment. The vineyard, Palisander, reflects their commitment to sustainable farming and biodiversity.
