2022 Pare, 'Bowyer Ridge Vineyard' Chardonnay
Planted in 2003, Bowyer Ridge vineyard in Kenton Valley features red loam with mica schist and ironstone at 490 meters. Pare use Bernard clones 76 & 96 from two blocks, benefiting from the site’s cool conditions for an elegant, balanced Chardonnay. Their winemaking approach highlights the vineyard’s unique character and vintage, involving early morning handpicking, cold whole bunch pressing, wild yeast fermentation in French barriques (50% new), and 15 months of maturation.
