2023 Hoddles Creek, Chardonnay
This Chardonnay presents citrus and stone fruit aromas, with a rounded palate featuring good length and acidity, enhanced by a subtle touch of new oak. The fruit is hand-picked and gently processed without enzymes, allowing natural settling. In 2023, around fifteen ferments began on full solids, with some inoculated later. After fermentation in wood, the wine is aged on lees for about 11 months before blending, cold stabilisation, fining, and filtration prior to bottling.

Hoddles Creek
Hoddles Creek Estate was founded in 1997 by the D'Anna family, who have owned the property since 1960. The vineyard, located along Gembrook Road next to Hoddles Creek, features steep slopes that necessitate hand pruning and harvesting. All wines are single vineyard and estate-grown, produced in a 300-tonne winery built for the 2003 vintage, which includes a barrel store three meters underground.
