2023 Koerner, 'Old Vine' Riesling
A superb single vineyard Riesling crafted by emerging winemaker Damon Koerner. Planted in 1923 on the southern aspect with blue slate and ironstone soils, Parish Vineyard produces outstanding wine.
Delicate aromas of white florals, tropical melon, and Clare Valley citrus greet the nose. This vintage offers added depth, featuring subtle smoky and flinty undertones, enhanced phenolics, and texture.
Handpicked and sorted, 10% fermented in ceramic amphorae and 90% in steel for 2 months, then aged on fine lees in stainless steel for 9 months. Unfined and unfiltered.

Koerner
Raised on the family's Clare Valley vineyard, Damon Koerner worked across Australia and overseas before settling in Lenswood, Adelaide Hills. Since founding Koerner Wine in 2014 with his brother Jono, they've expanded to include Adelaide Hills wines. They focus on traditional and unique varieties like Riesling, Vermentino, Sangiovese, and Cabernet from Clare Valley, and Chardonnay, Gamay, and Sangiovese from Adelaide Hills. Their wines aim to authentically represent their origins through minimal intervention winemaking that respects terroir and variety characteristics.
