2023 Ministry of Clouds, Chardonnay
This wine is pure and tightly structured, showcasing the intensity of the low-yielding Birdwood site and the crisp acidity typical of cool, late-ripening Piccadilly Valley Chardonnay. The nose is delicate, with notes of white flowers, green nectarine, and subtle hints of nougat and ginger spice. On the palate, a chalky minerality underpins a core of vibrant stone fruit, with a long, lingering finish that highlights its precise, fresh acidity.

Ministry Of Clouds
Ministry of Clouds was founded in 2013 by wine veterans Bernice Ong and Julian Forwood, with their first releases in 2015. After working with top Australian wineries like Yalumba and Wirra Wirra, they began sourcing exceptional fruit from Tasmania and Clare Valley for whites, and McLaren Vale for reds. Based in McLaren Vale, they cultivate their own 11ha plot and focus on old vineyards around the region, specializing in Grenache, Mataro, Shiraz, Tempranillo, and occasionally Carignan and Picpoul.
