Eastern Peake, 'Persuasion' Syrah Rose
This Syrah from Owen Latta’s Eastern Peake range is crafted from fruit grown by friends Frank and Kerry Walsh on the same grey loam as Eastern Peake. Established with Pinot Noir in 1995 and Syrah in 2003, the Syrah underwent whole-bunch pressing and fermentation in large Stockinger Austrian oak with indigenous yeasts, followed by 11 months on lees. It was racked and estate bottled with minimal sulphur, no fining, filtering, or tinkering, showcasing its origin.
