Dirupi
Dirupi was established in 2004 in the mountainous Valtellina region of Lombardy, just south of the Swiss border. Founders Pierpaolo Di Franco and Davide Fasolini, childhood friends who reunited during their enology studies, combined their limited resources to rent 15 terraced sites for Chiavennasca. Their vineyards span Sondrio, Montagna, Poggiridenti, Grumello, and Inferno, with varying exposures and altitudes. They use organic fertilizers, trim wild ground cover by hand, and harvest manually, vinifying each plot based on vineyard altitude.
