Pato Wouters
Filipa Pato and William Wouters, passionate wine producers from Bairrada, celebrate the region's history, old vineyards, and indigenous grape varieties. The Pato family, with over five generations in Bairrada, focuses on preserving the local Baga grape. Filipa, inspired by her father Luis Pato ("Baga rebel"), combined practical vineyard experience with academic study in Coimbra and international stints in Bordeaux, Mendoza, and Margaret River. In 2001, her dream of establishing a winery in Ois do Bairro became reality. Today, with about 15 hectares of vineyards, they craft exceptional wines reflecting Bairrada's diverse soils and microclimates.
